Mar. 13, 2025: The News Show Ep. 6
The theme of today’s show is, Crisis is Opportunity. That was the message coming out of a luncheon hosted this week by the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce that I attended. Present was Michael Hoher, who advises business owners on exporting their products.
On the show I talk about this lunch, and we get another update from Nick Arkle, the CEO of the Gormon Group of Companies, that owns Downie Mill in Revelstoke.
I also talk about what I’m working on for the March 20 show — negotiations to finalize the Columbia River Treaty agreement-in-principle are on pause because of Donald Trump. There’s a public information session about this on March 25, you can get more information by following this link. I’ll also talk to someone next week about the Okanagan College in Revelstoke ending its Settlement Service program for immigrants, after 20 years.
Also on the show this week is my interview with scientist Rob Serrouya about the results of a study that looked at mountain caribou migration patterns.
Beware the Ides of March.
