After a pretty quiet avalanche season, things picked up in a scary way last week, with Avalanche Canada issuing a Special Public Avalanche Warning throughout much of western Canada, and it remains in some areas.  Even though the SPAW has been lifted in the Revelstoke area, conditions are still heightened right now, so keep an eye on the Avalanche Canada website for the latest, and be safe out there this weekend.
