No Mow May and other Rotary Club of Revelstoke initiative to protect pollinators
Rotarian Graham Harper came onto the Stoke FM morning show to talk about the Rotary Club of Revelstoke’s participation in the initiative to have a corridor from the lower States through Canada and into Alaska for pollinators. They’re doing that by planting what’s called a pollinator garden near the Railway Museum this summer, by encouraging people to delay mowing their lawn in May, a movement called No Mow May, so that pollinators can enjoy the grass and flowers. The rotary is also giving every child in school a packet of wild seeds to grow. The club has an online 50/50 up now, money raised goes towards the above initiatives.
