The effects of the last few years of climate change disasters have had a strong negative impact on the BC wine industry. Bringing in almost $4billion to the province’s economy every year, including nearly half a billion in tax revenue, wine production is quite important. The industry is asking for over $315 million in government assistance to replant over 7000 acre of vinyard.
