Stoke FM Knows Short-term Rental Legislation, 4th St. Traffic, Don’t Feed the Bears
With the BC government announcing legislation to curb short-term and vacation rentals throughout the province, the hopes are that things will get easier for those looking to become permanent parts of communities like Revelstoke. Giving local governments guidelines to regulate the market, and the tools to enforce regulations are part of the plan, along side reducing the current number of STRs are all part of the plan.
In their meeting last week, city council explored a more permanent solution to mitigating traffic on 4th St. between the roundabout and the Illecillewaet Bridge, as the current set up was only meant to be temporary.
