Second annual Re-Fest primer
Leah Evans, the brainchild and founder of Re-Fest, speaks about this year’s festival that takes place in Revelstoke on May 25 and 26. Evans’ festival forces people to re-examine waste, and question whether something is trash, or if it can be re-used in some way.
Re-Fest takes place downtown Revelstoke on Second Avenue on Saturday during the day and evening, when the Trashion Show and an outdoor film take place. On Sunday the festival moves to the Community Centre.
Activities include repair stations for clothes as well as small electronics (no gas engines), workshops, clothing, book and bike swaps, workshops, and much more.
Check out the schedule here, where you can also sign up for workshops and to volunteer.
