Stoke FM Knows Heat Records Wildfires PGA of BC Championship

High temperature records have been broken throughout the province over the last few days of this heat wave.  Compounding that, Revelstoke has been hit with some of the worst smoke we’ve seen this summer.  Environment Canada has advised that people don’t go outside unless they have to, and to stay hydrated.

The smoke in Revelstoke is quite bad today, with fires continuing to burn in our immediate vicinity.  Windy conditions in the coming days could complicate things, as well.

The Professional Golf Association of BC was in town on Monday and Tuesday for their championship tournament at the Revelstoke Golf Club, and even though things were hampered by the heat and smoke, Zach Olson walked away the winner.
